TAP London Launch

A city-wide campaign for homelessness created by non-profit TAP London is launched today by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.

The campaign encourages Londoners to give a £3 contactless donation at any one of the 91 donation points installed across the city, to support the London Homeless Charities Group – a coalition of charities that provide direct services to homeless people. At 10am today, Sadiq Khan kicked off the campaign by giving the first public donation at City Hall.

GoodBox is proud to have provided the technology powering the initiative, which has been installed in high profile locations across Central London, including Westfield Shopping Centre, Vodafone, Curzon Cinemas and WeWork. Our hardware enables donations to be safely processed in less than half a second, encrypting the donors’ information at source.

“Homelessness in London is a problem we can’t ignore, and ahead of what could be one of the coldest winters yet, we’re pleased to support such a deserving cause.”

Francesca Hodgson, COO, GoodBox

The campaign will be running until the end of March 2019, and you can keep an eye on progress at TAP London’s website, where we have installed a live tracker monitoring donations as they are made.
