University Hospitals Birmingham Charity

The latter half of 2018 saw GoodBox and the University of Birmingham Hospitals (UHB) Charity collaborate in order to maximise their fundraising. The charity encompasses some of the largest hospitals in Birmingham, including Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital.

With twelve GoodBox devices spread across the four hospitals, UHB has seen significant increases in their fundraising. The change was especially apparent at charity events such as black tie balls and golf days, where people often do not carry any cash. At the most recent golf day, donations were seen to have increased by an impressive 130% percent over the previous days without GoodBox technology. The funding will go towards a variety of much needed causes, such as improving the lifestyles of teenagers with cancer through the weekly ‘Pizza Night’. Funds will also be allocated to making the hospital feel like a ‘home away from home’ for military patients and their families. GoodBox are extremely proud to know that their support has allowed for more lives to be positively impacted.

GoodBox has entered 2019 with a sense of excitement, and will continue to assist more charities in reaching their full fundraising potential. Additionally, GoodBox is eager to continue the relationship with the UHB Charity and in doing so, see more encouraging results.
