Provide support for the UK’s biggest charities

We’re GoodBox – a start-up dedicated to building new technologies that connect donors with deserving causes.

Since 2016, we’ve dedicated ourselves to helping fundraisers deal with the impact a cashless society is having on the charity sector. By harnessing the power of contactless technology, our products are helping some of the UK’s biggest charities receive up to 85% more in donations. Together, we’re shaping the future of fundraising.

How can you help our cause?

We’re growing fast. We have over 1,000 clients on our books and we’re planning to turn over £2 million in the next 12 months. On top of that, this year we’re planning to take our company global with a whole range of new products and services. We’ve got big ambitions, and we need an experienced Financial Controller to help steer the ship, providing key business expertise and building on our financial controls to improve our performance and profitability. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll deliver development strategy across the business function, challenging and improving processes and supporting the leadership team in strategic decision making. Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include producing full sets of management accounts, developing budgets and forecasts, and liaising with external auditors.

Who are we looking for?

This is a key role and an opportunity to take on the challenge of transforming a rapidly-growing, UK-based start-up into a large, international business. That’s why we need someone with solid experience in a similar role, ideally with a track record in a heavily-regulated industry – any tech/FinTech experience would be a real bonus. You’ll need strong commercial acumen, the confidence to challenge our way of thinking and make improvements, the ability to delegate, mentor and offer feedback to your team, as well as ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualifications. We also have offices in central London and Harlow, so occasional travel to these locations will be expected. Above all, you should feel passionate about growing our business and supporting our causes.

Why GoodBox?

When you work for GoodBox, you’re not just helping our company succeed – you’re helping charities all over the UK access the funds they need to keep doing great work. You’ll be part of a supportive, close-knit team of people, all working towards the same goal and all willing to help one another out.

We don’t believe in hierarchies or office politics – that’s why here, you’ll have the flexibility to work in a way that suits you, whether that’s reduced hours or working from home.
