Welcome to GoodBox!

In just four simple steps, you’ll be taking contactless donations with the GBx Core.

Step 1. Unbox your device

Take your new GBx Core out of its box (but don’t throw the box away!). Along with the device you’ll find:

  • a charger
  • a polishing cloth
  • 2 counter-top mounts (one which allows charging cable access from below, and one from the rear) and four screws for you to install the mount.

Admire it from all angles, and then move on to…

Step 2. Charge it

Your device will arrive with enough battery to get it started, but we advise that you fully charge it before using it. This will take 8 hours. Please note that when the devices batteries are fully drained, it will require 15 minutes of charging time before the GBx Core will be able to switch back on again.

The charging port can be found on the underneath of the unit, to the right, as shown below.

With that complete, you’re ready to fire up the engines.

Step 3. Switch it on

The power button is on the top left of the device. Hold it down for 5 seconds to start the GBx Core. You’ll see the GoodBox logo appear whilst the device initialises. Once that’s completed, it will display your pre-configured artwork. If you haven’t pre-loaded any artwork with our team, or there are any issues at all, please contact us at support@goodbox.com

When you’re ready to turn the device off, hold the power button down until options appear on screen. A single press will send the screen to sleep (a handy tip for power saving!)

Step 4. Get Fundraising!

A row of lights can be found above the contactless payment symbol. A single green light on the far left will appear when the device is ready to take a donation, and the contactless symbol will be illuminated.

When a payment is made, you’ll be presented with a “Thank You” screen and all four lights will flash up. When the GBx Core is ready to take another payment, the single light will re-appear, and the contactless symbol will light up again. Simple!

If you want any advice on the best locations for your GBx Core, or any fundraising tips – get in touch, we would be thrilled to help.
